Lauren was searching for young horses, and had two candidates – an unstarted three year old from a friend, or a started four year old, for roughly the same price point. She bought the four year old… and it just wasn’t a good marriage. When she decided to sell a year later, she reached back out to her friend Anna Marek, who said “hey, remember that unstarted three year old? He’s going now, has been to some shows… want to trade?”

So OJ came to Virginia! His big character reminds Lauren of one of her great loves, Danny Ocean, a Wynton on his sire’s side. Bred in the US by JP Farms, we’re excited to see where this big boy goes!
